My 25th Birthday Bash at Stilts Calatagan Beach Resort Batangas

by - 3:39:00 AM

Hooray for my comeback blogpost. It's been a while and I'm sharing my 25th birthday celebration at Stilts Calatagan, Batangas

I actually don't have plans to go out of town kaso sabi ko it's been a long time since I celebrated my birthday and 25 years is something I should be thankful. So to treat myself and my family, I checked a near beach from Manila and san pa ba ako hahanap kundi sa Batangas.

I inquired first at Playa Laiya Beach Club however, it's an exclusive club wherein they only accomodate lot owner or endorsed by a lot owner. They are also open to corporate if you have company affiliation or you may go thru to any of their accredited travel agency. Since I only have few days remaining, I looked for other options.

Being a mommy, I need to prioritize my son's comfort whenever we go out. I have to check if the place is kid-friendly and if it has all the things we need to have para less-hassle ang out of town.

I have to rely with reviews as well. I checked everything, and I feel confident with Stilts because they have good reviews. So I decided to email them and inquired. Ang bilis nilang nakapagreply sa email ko which I really like. They sent me a quotation for day tour entrance and cottage rental. To confirm reservation, Stilts require you to make a 50% down payment which is also another thumbs up for me para walang walk-ins at hindi maging crowded ang lugar.

It's a 3-4 hours drive from Manila which is not bad. If you have a car, you can use waze or ask for direction.

No need to print reservation form or present valid ID. Another thing I really like about this resort is their excellent service. From reservation until we exit, sobrang hands-on sila sa mga bisita.

One example is they helped us get our bags and food from our car. Kahit malapit lang, this simple gesture really made me feel so happy. They also welcomed us with some refreshments. This is how they treat customers.

This is their map. Sobrang daming pwedeng mapasyalan. They have 3 beaches. Ang cottage namen nasa Harmony Beach. I believe for snorkeling, advisable and Destiny Beach. Actually wala akong napuntahan aside from the beach infront of our cottage dahil kay bagets palang pagoda na ako. According to their website, this resort is 24 hectares of rolling hills and white sand beaches. Perfect na perfect for company outing, team building, family reunion, barkada reunion or any type of occasion. They accept big events as well like weddings and birthdays.

Ayan oh! Ganda diba? They have restaurant so you don't have to problem about catering.

Since we are in a day tour, Stilts gave us an Open Hut which can accomodates up to 15 person. Layo layo ang mga cottage dito so you're like having your own space. Before you go to your cottage, the receptionist will give you a key for the built-in locker to secure your valuable things. Meron din silang sink sa loob ng cottage which is very convenient and free grilling station. Diba? Ang perfect lang ng lahat.

I love these 2 beach beds. Yung unan dala namen siya. Kasya dalawang tao sa beach bed. Overlooking ng beach at sobrang relaxing. Something I really need. Just typing this right now, I want to go back.

One thing I'm worried before going to this place, baka hindi magustuhan ni bagets ang beach dahil last time they went to beach kasama ang parents ko, natakot siya sa waves. Kaya napili ko din si Stilts because of its calm water and hindi malakas ang alon. But right after we set our foot sa cottage, naghubad agad ng slippers si Prince at nagtatakbo sa buhangin.

We brought our own food para mas tipid at mas madaming serving. They have a restaurant para sa mga hindi trip magbaon or wala ng time magluto. If you're planning to go, I suggest wag na kayo magdala ng tubig, thermos or water boiler.

No swimming attire required for beach pero sa swimming pool, ladies must wear swimsuits or other proper swimwear. For men, wear swimming trunks or board shorts.

The sands are not that powdery white but minimal lang ang shells at di masakit sa paa kahit maglakad ka with your bare foot. More on white cream ang color ng sand which is really fine.

No extra charge. Ang kailangan lang is proper attire.

They have water and recreational activities as well like kayak, pedal boat, banana boat, speed boat and diving session. To check for the prices please click here. *Disclaimer: Prices may be changed at any time without further notice.

This is their public shower area.

Other cottages good for large groups and for overnight.

They also have store for souvenir and beach necessities if you forgot something.

Overall. Our stay in Stilts is one of the memorable days of my life. I highly recommend this to everyone who needs to get out of the city and relax at the beach.

I will also include here the breakdown of our expenses:

Entrance           ₱350.00/head
Ecological Fee ₱30.00/head
Corkage Fee     ₱200.00/head
Open Hut          ₱850.00 (off peak)
Dispenser          ₱250.00

Ice and liquor are available. Just ask the receptionist or the staff in the restaurant. Corkage fee applies if you bring food.
