Staycation at Privato Hotel

Last June, I booked a hotel for our very first staycation as a family at Privato Hotel to celebrate our 5th year anniversary as a couple and Father's day. I chose Privato because of good reviews at malapit lang sa bahay namen so less hassle sa traffic and no need for me to rush.

I booked through travelbook dahil discounted ang price and to gain points. It was an easy transaction. After the payment I printed my voucher which they sent to my email address.

Privato Hotel is located at 706 Shaw Blvd. near Capitol Commons and near infront of Ynares Sports Arena. Maraming fast food chain and restaurant nearby like Chowking, Shakey's, and Mcdonald's.

I like their interior design. Minimalistic ang dating using 2 basic colors which is black and white. Upon checking in, the receptionist will ask you for a security deposit of  ₱1,000.00. In my case, I asked to waived it in exchange, I won't be able to ask for room service which is totally fine for me.

You'll see their cafe at ground floor beside the reception area and free water lemon for guests.

One of the review I read online, they are complaining about the elevator kasi mabagal. I think they already resolve it dahil nung nagpunta kami di naman kami natagalan. *Reminder: Always bring your hotel card key because you won't be able to go to your designated floor without it. You need to scan the hotel card key in the elevator to press the button.

And this is our Executive King Room located at 22nd floor.

A 21 sqm room with a king sized bed with matching pillows. Just a typical hotel room, nothing fancy about. The amenities are wi-fi, LCD television with cable programming, in-room safe, hair dryer and complimentary tea and coffee. Wi-fi connection was unstable that time and television is a bit small. Aircon works fine and room is spacious enough for the three of us.

They have this mini-refrigerator under this small table.

Bathroom is nice and clean with hygiene kit. One thing I don't like is their towels which I also read from reviews. Kelangan na nilang palitan yung towels nila though wala namang mabahong amoy pero medyo nangingitim na siya. If you are not okay with this, I suggest you bring your own towel.

Shower is okay. They have hot and cold water. They are easy to adjust and volume of water is also fine with me. Hindi masiyadong nakakalunod at hindi rin naman parang nagtitipid sa tubig. I like they have this clothesline (sampayan) inside the shower area to let our wet clothes dry.

We tried their swimming pool which is located at the rooftop. Maliit lang siya so kung fanatic ka ng big swimming pools this might not be for you. For me okay lang sakin yung pool. No attire requirement. Very kid-friendly dahil hindi malalim yung pool. Presko pero hindi mahangin. Kelangan mo lang mag log sa logbook nila and iaadvise ka ng staff na magshower muna bago magdip sa pool.

This is their roof deck bar. Actually medyo malawak siya hindi ko lang napicturan lahat dahil yung mag-ama ko nagmamadali ng bumaba. Balak ko siya puntahan nung gabi kasi maganda daw yung view, pero di ko na napuntahan.

Aside from roof deck bar, you can order your meal at Piazza Privato. Hindi na namen to pinuntahan because of the reviews I saw online. Their breakfast buffet is ₱350.00/head. *Disclaimer: Prices may subject change without prior notice.

One factor I choose Privato Hotel for our staycation is it's near The Yard Underground Pasig. Mga 5-10 minutes na lakad lang from the hotel. I have a separate blogpost about it, if you want to read click here.

After our dinner at The Yard Underground, we planned to buy pizza kaso sobrang busog na busog na kame kaya we go back to our room. I love our view that night.

Yes, we brought some movies to watch and we actually enjoyed it. Timing kasi si Prince nakatulog agad pagbalik namen from dinner. The following morning we just ordered food from Chowking which is katabi lang ng hotel and prepared to go home.

Overall, I'm satisfied with our stay at the hotel. We paid ₱2,352.00 for 1 night stay. Check-in is 2:00 pm and check out is at noon.
