Simple Celebration at Balay Dako by Antonio's

2:30:00 AM

Last February 14, me and my family planned to go to Tagaytay as part of my husband's birthday celebration and my parent's 26th wedding anniversary. I looked for a place where we can have delicious meal, stunning view and excellent service since this is a special day for us so everything must be perfect and I found Balay Dako.

I love how it feels like home. I love the color of the house and it's interior design. Though it looks like a historical ancient house, the overall place is well-maintained. Staffs are courteous and presentable. Place is not too crowded and has a stunning view of Taal, though I would prefer if they remove the screen outside to maximize the perfect view but overall everything is superb!

Pagpasok pa lang, pinoy na pinoy na ang tema pero with class and elegance. Balay Dako means "Big House" in Negrense. Balay Dako is a restaurant that proudly serves Filipino food. From native dishes created before written histories, to inspirations fashioned by seafaring traders and the assimilations shaped by colonial occupation, Filipino cuisine is defined by struggle and acceptance, upheaval and adaptation.

This is their receiving area, while waiting for our table.

Anyway, going back let's talk about their food. We ordered 4 types of dishes which is good for sharing at gosh lahat sila masasarap.

Crispy Pata ₱785.00
Kare Kare Klasik ₱720.00
Pinakbet ₱275.00
Grilled Pusit ₱478.00
Their crispy pata is the best pata I tasted in my life. Di ako nageexagge at di rin to sponsored.

Nagtry kasi kami ng bulalo from other restaurant and he compared yung lasa. Yung steamed rice namen for 8 servings yan.

Ang linaw diba? Against the light pa.

Sobrang nabusog kami.

Langka (Jackfuit) ₱60.00/scoop
Tsokolate (Chocolate) ₱60.00/scoop
Mangga(Mango) ₱60.00/scoop
Alam ko malamig sa Tagaytay pero I will really recommend their homemade sorbetes. Promise! Ang sarap. Hindi masiyadong matamis at lasang lasa niya yung flavor. Madami pa silang ibang flavors like Vanilla, Macapuno, Quezo, Ube, Avocado at Strawberry.

I heard that they have the best piyaya in town. I would like to try it kaso sobrang busog na ako. Maybe next time.

Overall we enjoyed our dinner. Inagahan ko talaga ang dinner namen para mas perfect yung view and I'm expecting na dumami yung tao since it's lovers day though wala kami nun. I will recommend this for all the family na pupunta ng Tagaytay. If you would like to have a quiet and relaxing place to dine in. Medyo may kamahalan yung food pero worth it naman. Siguro ang macocomment ko lang na di maganda eh 2 beses kami nagask ng high chair, but for overall service we are satisfied. They make sure we have enough water and address all our requests. Foods came right in time, di gaanong matagal.
