DC Heroes Cafe Food Review

My boys are super fan of superheroes, well I'm not but when I heard about the new cafe in SM Megamall, I know they will be very excited to try it. On our first try to dine in, people are still hyped about it at sobrang haba ng pila so we didn't wait. I'm sure we can do it next time. So when we got our chance, voila! wala ng pila. Of course, I've done my research and I know their menu are pricey so let's see if they're worth it.

Well as you can see everything has a touch of DC superheroes. The napkin, plate and their place mat. Every corner you'll see a lot of stuff about DC superheroes, not only Superman and Batman but also some villains.

This is their menu. I liked how they designed it and how easily to check foods and drinks by category.

My two boys waiting for our order. While waiting, I roamed around and checked their decorations.

They have some cool stuff or display inside the cafe. These are cool collections and I believe they are selling them.

So enough of this, let's go and talk about their food.

First in our order is 12 Hour Glazed Pork Belly. It's a pork belly smoked and spice for 12 hours served with pineapple glaze and smashed potatoes. It was inspired by Bane who needs venom every 12 hours. This one cost ₱480.00 and good for 1-2 person. This is actually taste good. The meat is so tender and easily to cut and chew. Not only it's tender, the meat is flavorful too.

My son loves chicken so we ordered Buttermilk-Fried Chicken Wings. It is served with rice pilaf topped with pomodoro sauce and honey mustard. This dish cost ₱380.00 and though it taste good too, unlike with pork belly I didn't like it that much and the plating is not appealing to me.

We also ordered one of their signature frappe. This is Double Nut White Frappe. The power of the planet Krypton perfected in a smoothie. Concocted with blue and red velvet choco, toffee nut, hazelnut and DC Espresso topped with their signature whipped cream. It cost ₱190.00 and this one taste awesome. Not too sweet and I super liked how it was presented.

They provide coloring materials for kids to keep them busy and entertained.

Overall, we love it and would love to try their other dish some other time. It may not be our new go-to place to eat because the food are expensive but still, it's a good place if you want to try something different and tired of ordinary food and ambiance.
